Quick audio transcriptions of any recorded speech: interviews, lectures, roundtable discussions, etc.

Cost: $25.00 per hour.

I have been transcribing interviews, lectures and discussions since 2000. I have worked for high profile magazines such as Artforum as well as colleges, book publishers, and individual writers on a wide variety of subjects. References available upon request.

 

HOW IT WORKS

It usually takes 2 1/2 - 5 hours to transcribe one hour of recorded audio.

The time a transcription takes varies due to the recorded sound quality, the accents and speech patterns of the speakers, the number of different speakers in a conversation, or background noise.

For especially bad audio quality, I have advanced audio equipment and can often extract usable sound from poor quality recordings. This also costs $25.00 per hour.

I do my best to meet tight deadlines and can often turn transcriptions around within a day.

 

GETTING THE AUDIO MATERIAL TO ME

Customers usually send tapes or cds to me via delivery confirmed mail services such as fedex or ups. If you have less time constraints, the regular mail works fine. MP3s can be emailed. Please contact me to discuss the best method for your project.

 

YOUR TRANSCRIPTION

Transcribed texts are delivered via email as Microsoft Word documents. For a surcharge, I can mail you a print out.
